Swing for Kids
The Swing for Kids softball tournament will be held Saturday, Sept. 26, at 9 a.m. at the Southfield Park in Heber. Cost is $240 per team and benefits the Summit/Wasatch counties Children’s Justice Center. This is a coed, all-ages home-run derby. There is a minimum of four females per team. There will be a barbecue and drawing afterwards. Prizes include ski and golf passes, gift cards, softball gear and more. Call 654-8046 to register.
When the teachers are away, the kids can play! Basin Recreation is offering a Utah Education Camp for children ages 7 to 12 (no exceptions). The camp includes sports, games, contests and lots of fun. Camp will be held Oct. 1-2 at Ecker Hills Middle School (gym entrance). Cost is $40 for one day or $75 for both days. Children need to bring lunch, snacks, water bottles, swimsuits and towels. Camp runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Limit is 50 campers. Call 655-0999 for more information.
Fight Gone Bad
CrossFit Park City will host the Fight Gone Bad fundraiser for Athletes for a Cure and The Wounded Warrior Project on Sept. 26 at 9:30 a.m. All proceeds will go directly to the organizations. You can make donations prior to or the day of the event at www.fgb4.org. A minimum of a $20 donation will be required to participate in the workout Fight Gone Bad. All abilities are welcome.
