Summit County in 2050

Sarah Moffitt The Park Record

Summit County Planners are urging both East and West side residents to attend the "Summit County in 2050" presentation in Wanship on Thursday night.

The West side presentation planned for last week was postponed and combined with the East side presentation scheduled for Thursday. Snyderville Basin planner Kimber Gabryszak said that the presentation will encompass the entire county and not be site specific.

"The presentation we are giving requires audience participation," said Gabryszak. "Everyone will have a keypad and can give their feedback and be polled on options in real time, allowing the results to be instantly generated and seen by everyone."

The results from the meeting will be used to guide planning decisions in the future and give residents a chance to voice their opinion on where they want to see growth, open space and affordable housing.

The presentation will be held on Thursday at 6 p.m. at the Wanship Fire Station, 2000 S. Hoytsville Road, Wanship. Visit http://www.summitcounty.org/index.php for more information.
