According to the Summit County Attorney’s Office, the following cases were heard on Monday, Aug. 29, in Third District Court at the Summit County Justice Center:

Jesse Frank Williams, 32, of Virginia Beach, Virginia, entered a guilty plea to attempted possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence and a $2,500 fine. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on probation for 12 months, ordered him to serve five days in jail, pay a $2,500 fine and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Harrison M. Fugate, 22, of Park City, entered into an 18-month plea in abeyance to failure to stop at the command of a law enforcement officer, a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to pay $400 in restitution, complete 20 hours of community service and other standard terms and conditions.

Rachel V. Hatch, 27, of Park City, entered into an 18-month plea in abeyance to attempted assault by a prisoner, a Class A misdemeanor, and criminal trespass, also a Class A misdemeanor. The court ordered the defendant to comply with mental-health treatment and complete other standard terms and conditions.

Brock Ottnel Shellman, 32, of Avillas, Indiana, entered a guilty plea to possession or use of a controlled substance, a Class A misdemeanor. The court imposed a one-year jail sentence. That sentence was stayed and the court placed the defendant on court probation for 12 months, ordered him to forfeit the $71,120 that was seized and complete other standard terms and conditions.

James Harrison Eubanks, 38, of Park City, entered a guilty plea to assault, a Class A misdemeanor, and damage or interruption to a communication device, a Class A misdemeanor. Sentencing is Oct. 24.
