Under 21 Scene: Bowl away boredom

Lindsay Price , Park Record Intern

Sun, rain, hail, oh my! The weather isn’t the only thing that isn’t boring in Park City. Don’t let the unpredictable precipitation leave you sinking into your couch. If the weather can’t make up its mind, you certainly can with the countless fun things for the under-21 set to do in Park City.

On a rainy day, you can either sit on the couch all day watching Planet Earth, or you can round up some friends to throw down a game of bowling. The hip and hoppin’ bowling alley Jupiter Bowl provides a great location to meet up with friends on a rainy day.

Ninteen-year-old Hallie Magee professed her love for bowling with a three-day streak of perfect attendance. "I’m just obsessed with bowling right now. I love to take my younger siblings or getting a group of friends together to play," she said.

Jupiter Bowl also offers a student special Monday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. For $15 per person, you are allotted a two-hour time frame to bowl as many games you want, with shoe rentals, a slice of pizza and a soft drink included. Judging by the popularity of the under-21 scene and the exciting specials, bowling provides a spectacular option to have a good time.
