Summer senior visitors enjoy annual picnic in the park
The Park City Chamber/Bureau's annual Summer Senior Picnic was held on July 15 at City Park with approximately 80 summer senior visitors in attendance. Many of these visitors come to Park City each summer year after year, staying for a month or more and enjoying our delightful weather and activities. Special thanks, as always, to Joel Fine for acting as emcee. Also thanks to Mayor Jack Thomas, Myles Rademan, Joe Cronley, Great Harvest Bread Co., Park City Municipal, and to all of our members who donated prizes for our raffle and/or participated in our Summer Senior Program with special lodging deals and other offers for the Silver Card. We are grateful for your support!

Ladies and gentlemen, please take your seats
I have been fortunate to attend many of the summer concerts at Deer Valley. They are excellent and well attended. Indeed, our community is lucky to have these series.
It's sad to see so many people, dozens and dozens, in fact, leave the concert well before the end of the show. It's rude to the performer and to the other patrons committed to staying until the end. Perhaps folks are trying to beat the traffic, or maybe they have other commitments.
PS: I wonder if the same people who leave the performance early are the same ones arriving 30 minutes after the start of the performance?

A toast to more recycling
Our outdoor benefit concert 'Uncorked' this past Friday was a success! Over 300 people came, enjoyed tasty food, beverages, and lively company. Thank you to everyone who came to support glass recycling at our funky location right in town. Glass is 100 percent recyclable. Never curbside, always at Recycle Utah, any day or time of the week. Thanks to your support, glass recycling IS possible. Thanks to Bryon Friedman and his band for the music and to Sugartown Alley for their show. It was great to see so many locals come out and boogie down at the recycling center. Check out www.recycleutah.org/event for more events. See you at the center where recycling drop off is possible 24/7.
