Paramount Pictures Australia quickly deleted a tweet promoting the new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" movie featuring what looks like a promotional poster displaying our four heroes falling off an exploding building.

It also showed the film's release date: 9/11.

Brilliant.

According to TMZ, the studio posted the tweet Tuesday morning. It wasn't long before those on the Internet told Paramount that was stupid.

The website shared some of the re-tweets, including "WOW. Someone's getting fired for this"; "Did Paramount really think this was a suitable poster for a movie release on September 11th?" and "'Too soon?' 'Nah, who cares.'"

TMZ reported it reached out to Paramount for comment and, a few hours later, still hadn't heard back. Which makes sense. One can imagine something akin to a Three Stooges episode was taking place at Paramount on Tuesday morning.
