The Park City Chamber Music Society's Autumn Classics Concerts
The Park City Chamber Music Society will present the Autumn Classics concerts in various venues in Park City from Friday, Oct. 5, through Sunday, Oct. 7. Friday's concert will be at 7:30 p.m. at Park City Community Church, 4501 S.R. 224. Tickets will be available at the door for $20 for adults, $15 for students and senior citizens. Canines with a Cause Fundraiser with Kurt Bestor
Grammy Award-winning composer and musician Kurt Bestor will perform at the Canines with a Cause Fundraiser at the Home of Dottie and Robert Small on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person or $150 per couple. The night will include heavy hors d'oeuvres and drinks. The proceeds will benefit Canines with a Cause that helps find homes for dogs. Park City Film Series 'Books to Movies' program
The Park City Film Series 'Books to Movies' program will present Henry Selick's "James and the Giant Peach," rated PG-13, in the the Jim Santy Auditorium at the Park City Library and Education Center, 1255 Park Avenue, on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 3 p.m. The screening is free. Based on the children's book by Roald Dahl, "James and the Giant Peach," that will have Spanish subtitles, is about an orphan, who has terrible aunts for guardians, befriends human-like bugs that live inside a giant peach. The screening will be preceded by a presentation by Sun Safe Utah Director Stephanie Klein and medical studet Mark Evans. They will present their Sun Safe message to the children of Park City.
