The Park City Police Department handled a series of traffic accidents, including slide-offs, last week as the first snowstorm of the season hit the city.

It was an unusually heavy storm for the season's first, creating hazardous driving conditions at many points throughout the weekend.

Some of the cases reported to the police include:

  • on Sunday, Nov. 11 at 5:58 a.m., a vehicle slid off the road at the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Park Avenue.

  • at 2:10 a.m. on Nov. 11, the police received a report of a slide-off on the 1700 block of Kearns Boulevard.

  • at 12:42 a.m., someone reported a slide-off at the intersection of Payday Drive and Iron Canyon Drive.

  • on Friday, Nov. 9, the police received a report of a slide-off on the 800 block of Park Avenue. The accident happened beforehand, but it was not clear from public police logs when it occurred. The police said the report was needed for insurance purposes.
