The Park City Police Department was busy over New Year's with the usual series of calls for the holiday, including suspected drunken driving cases and loud parties.
But the police also received a few complaints about fireworks being used to celebrate New Year's.
On Jan. 1 at 12:21 a.m., someone on Crescent Road complained they could not sleep with the noise from fireworks.
At 10:05 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 31, meanwhile, someone along Marsac Avenue close to the Hillside Avenue intersection reported that fireworks were hitting homes and vehicles.
At 10 p.m. on Dec. 31 a report was logged on Three Kings Drive involving people reportedly shooting fireworks on Crescent Drive and hitting buildings.
Firework reports were also filed on Kearns Boulevard and Sidewinder Drive on New Year's Eve.

On Sunday, Jan. 5 at 10:38 a.m., the police received a report of a man suspected of being intoxicated on the 7600 block of Royal Street. The police were told assistance was needed in escorting the person off a property.
The Police Department in the hours between 7 a.m. and 10 a.m. conducted a round of traffic patrols, primarily along the Marsac Avenue corridor. At least seven drivers were stopped, including some at the Marsac Avenue-Hillside Avenue intersection. Officers earlier in the day patrolled streets like Iron Horse Drive and S.R. 224, stopping drivers.
On Saturday, Jan. 4 at 2:30 p.m., the police received a report that snowmobiles were spotted on the golf course in Park Meadows. The snowmobiles were reportedly seen near Hole 11, Hole 12 and Hole 17. The police were told there were approximately six snowmobiles. The Police Department classified the case as criminal mischief.
At 11:05 a.m., the police were told a vending machine on the 900 block of Park Avenue was broken into overnight.
A loud party was reported somewhere along Sidewinder Drive at 2:58 a.m.
At 2:17 a.m., the police were called to the 300 block of Main Street, where a doorman at a nightclub indicated a woman had been assaulted. The police searched for the woman, but public police logs did not provide details about whether she was found.
On Friday, Jan. 3 at 10:18 p.m., the police received a report that a vehicle along S.R. 224 was "all over road" and drove into incoming traffic several times.
At 8:39 a.m., the police and firefighters were dispatched after a report that a structure might be on fire somewhere along Lucky John Drive. The police said there was smoke from a breaker box.
On Thursday, Jan. 2 at 3:11 p.m., skis were reported stolen from the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue. The skis disappeared while the person was eating lunch, the police were told.
A suspected drunken driving case was reported at 1:51 a.m. at the intersection of Bonanza Drive and Iron Horse Drive.
On Wednesday, Jan. 1 at 7:59 p.m. a garbage bag was seen in the median along the 2000 block of Park Avenue. The police indicated the bag was a traffic hazard.
At 2:59 p.m., the police received a report that a youngster threw a snowball through a window somewhere along Park Avenue. The glass apparently broke, cutting someone, the police were told. The injured person refused medical attention. The youngster was detained by staffers, the police said.
At 9:35 a.m., someone reported that a business along Main Street was trashed and unspecified items were missing. The police were told there were no signs that someone forced their way inside.
The Police Department in the early morning hours of Jan. 1 handled a series of calls stemming from New Year's revelry. There were loud parties reported on Estates Drive at 5:50 a.m. and Morning Star at 3:26 a.m. At 2:15 a.m., meanwhile, unruly passengers were reported in a taxi on Main Street. There was also at least one report of suspected intoxication, logged at 12:36 a.m. on Main Street.
Two suspected drunken driving cases were reported within a little more than an hour of each other. The first one was reported at 12:55 a.m. at the intersection of Park Avenue and Deer Valley Drive while the other one was at 2:06 a.m. on the 900 block of Park Avenue.
On Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 11:13 p.m., two men reportedly started punching each other in a taxi on Pinnacle Drive.
At 11:16 a.m. the police received a report from Pinehurst Court that someone drove over a lawn, damaging a stake that was in the lawn. The stake marked the location of a sprinkler, the police were told.
At 10:29 a.m., a wallet was found and turned over to a store on the 400 block of Main Street.
On Monday, Dec. 30 at 10:51 p.m., a loud party in a hot tub was reported somewhere along Empire Avenue. A police officer who investigated indicated the cover was on the hot tub, the lights were off and there was no noise.
Graffiti was found on a power box at or close to the intersection of Evening Star Drive and Venus Court at 8:47 p.m.
An Audi S5 vehicle was reported to have been stolen from a garage along Little Kate Road at 8:04 p.m.
A hit-and-run traffic accident was reported somewhere along Woodside Avenue at 4:14 p.m. The damage occurred the night before, the police were told.
The police at 8:39 a.m. received a report of a burglary somewhere along Kearns Boulevard. Someone broke in through a back door and took coins from a cash drawer, the police were told.
At 1:36 a.m., the police received a report of a fight, apparently on a bus, at the intersection of Park Avenue and Heber Avenue. Two men were fighting the police were told. Six people were ordered to leave the bus, according to the police.
A suspected drunken driving case was reported on the 1700 block of Bonanza Drive at 1:31 a.m.
