A woman was found unconscious inside a Main Street nightclub early Friday morning and was taken to the hospital, the Park City Police Department said.

Police officers responded at 1:14 a.m. after receiving a report that the woman was at the back door of the nightclub who appeared to be intoxicated, the Police Department said in an online statement. She was vomiting and was semiconscious, the police said.

The online statement said an ambulance took her to the Park City Medical Center, "where her condition rapidly declined." She was then taken to a Salt Lake hospital. The online statement indicated doctors there put her on a ventilator and placed her in the intensive-care unit. She was in critical condition, the police said. Phil Kirk, a police captain, said the woman was released from the hospital on Saturday.

Police Chief Wade Carpenter said in an interview on Monday the woman is recovering. The Police Department interviewed her and is continuing to investigate potential causes of her unconsciousness, Carpenter said.

The online posting referred to the case as an aggravated assault. The initial classification of a case sometimes does not reflect the final determination, though, based on further investigation.

Emergency crews on Thursday at 4:24 p.m. responded to a man suffering a medical condition on the 1400 block of Woodside Avenue. The police in an online statement said friends of his indicated he fell down in an apartment and was unresponsive.

The emergency crews administered CPR for more than 20 minutes and the man was taken to Park City Medical Center. He later died. The man was 46 years old and from Oregon, the police chief said. Carpenter said the man had an underlying medical condition and the death was not suspicious.
