Temporary road closures planned along Main Street

by Jay Hamburger THE PARK RECORD

Three temporary road closures are planned along Main Street next week as an extraordinary amount of construction and streetscape improvements continues.

The road closures, as outlined by the Park City Building Department, are:

  • from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Monday, when Main Street will be closed to traffic between the Heber Avenue and 4th Street intersections. The closure is needed to allow a crew to move a wooden construction walkway protecting people at the Silver Queen Hotel site across Main Street. That move is needed to allow work on a natural-gas line.
  • Heber Avenue between the Main Street and Swede Alley intersections will be closed much of Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The closure starts at 7 a.m. on Wednesday and ends at 5 p.m. on Friday. The closure is also needed for work on a natural-gas line. There will be access to the underground garages at Sky Lodge and the Gateway Center from Swede Alley.
  • from 5 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Thursday, when Main Street between the Heber Avenue and 4th Street intersections will be closed. The closure is needed to move the wooden protective walkway back to the Silver Queen Hotel site.
