The Park City Police Department last week logged a few cases involving loose dogs, including one that officers helped corral.
Dogs are required to be on leashes, but violations are frequently seen in Park City.
The cases included: on Sunday, May 25 at 8:09 a.m., a dog was seen off a leash in Prospector. The report was apparently logged on the Rail Trail close to Prospector Avenue. on Saturday, May 24 at 1:38 p.m., a dog was seen off a leash on a trail along S.R. 224 on the way to the McPolin Farm. on May 24 at 9:39 a.m., an officer assisted a person corral a dog that had escaped from a house. The case was logged somewhere along Park Avenue. on Friday, May 23 three dogs were seen off leashes within 29 minutes of each other starting at 7:54 a.m. Two of the dogs were in the vicinity of the skate park at City Park while the other was reported to be on the 1300 block of Park Avenue, close to the other reports. on Monday, May 19 at 12:38 p.m., someone on Equestrian Way reported a dog bite. The victim's skin was slightly broken, the police were told.
