On Sunday, June 1, the Police Department conducted a heavy round of traffic enforcement from late in the afternoon unto the middle of the evening. The police stopped at least 12 drivers in a little less than three hours. The police pulled over the drivers on streets like Swede Alley and S.R. 224.
At 3:44 p.m., a trespassing case was logged at the Masonic water tank off the Aerie.
On Saturday, May 31 at 10:02 p.m., the police received a report that an unknown number of people and flashes of light were spotted somewhere along Mellow Mountain Road. The police indicated the circumstances were suspicious.
Cars were reportedly parked in the middle of a cul-de-sac along Monarch Drive at 6:55 p.m.
A traffic accident was reported in a parking lot along the 1700 block of Kearns Boulevard at 12:22 p.m., apparently at Park City High School. Nobody was injured and the accident did not block traffic, the police said.
The Police Department logged a suspected drunken driving case at 1:42 a.m. at the intersection of Bonanza Drive and iron Horse Drive. Public police logs did not provide details.
On Friday, May 30 at a little after 10 a.m. two pickup trucks collided on the 500 block of Woodside Avenue. Nobody was injured. At 10:35 a.m., meanwhile, a two-vehicle accident was reported on the 700 block of Park Avenue. Nobody was injured.
At 10:47 a.m., the Park City Parks Department filed a police report indicating cement had been illegally dumped in the vicinity of Gillmor Way.
At 11:18 a.m., the police received a report that a vehicle and a deck had been vandalized with eggs somewhere along Monarch Drive.
On Thursday, May 29 at 2:20 p.m., a fire hydrant was reported to be open and gushing water somewhere along Deer Valley Drive.
At 10:34 a.m., someone went to the Park Avenue police station to report a case of identity theft. Public police logs did not provide details.
A large raccoon was seen in a travel lane at or close to the intersection of S.R. 224 and Holiday Ranch Lop Road. The animal was apparently dead. The police said the raccoon presented a traffic hazard. The Streets Department was summoned to remove the raccoon.
On Wednesday, May 28 at 9:34 p.m., a deer carcass was seen in a southbound lane of S.R. 224 close to the Meadows Drive intersection. An officer removed the deer from the travel lane.
Someone along Woodside Avenue reported water was brown at 8:14 p.m. The police indicated there was a utility issue.
At 11:24 a.m., the police received a complaint that work trucks were apparently speeding on Meadows Drive. The police were told another driver was forced to swerve onto a sidewalk to avoid a collision with a truck.
Two moose were seen close to a restaurant on the 1700 block of Sidewinder Drive at 7:28 a.m.
A sprinkler head was reportedly broken and spraying water onto the street at the intersection of Marsac Avenue and Hillside Drive. The police classified the case as a traffic hazard.
On Tuesday, May 27 at 8:24 p.m., a tree was reported to be in the road along the 1700 block of Kearns Boulevard. An officer removed the tree.
At 8:19 p.m., a young woman was reported to be on the side of the road at the intersection of S.R. 224 and Holiday Ranch Loop Road. The woman might have been intoxicated, the police were told.
A traffic accident was reported in the Park City High School parking lot at 2:45 p.m. A truck and a sport utility vehicle collided, the police said. Nobody was injured. The police indicated fluid, possibly from the transmission, was leaking from the truck.
On Monday, May 26, a police officer stopped a bicyclist on the 900 block of Park Avenue at 1:48 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details about what prompted the stop, but they did appear to indicate the bicyclist was in traffic.
