Three men groped a woman early Saturday morning along the pathway linking Main Street and Bonanza Drive, the Park City Police Department said.

The police received the report at 1:54 a.m. The incident occurred as the pathway passes close to the City Park skate park, Rick Ryan, a police captain, said. The woman is 28 years old and lives in Park City.

Ryan said the woman was walking northbound, the direction away from Main Street. Three men were behind her as she walked. They caught up to her and each of them groped the woman, Ryan said. She yelled at them to stop and was able to run away, he said. The woman called a friend on a cellphone as she was running. Ryan said the three men ran away while the woman was on the phone.

The woman's friend called 911. Police officers who responded did not find the three men. The woman told the police she does not know the assailants.

"She did a lot of the right things. She yelled, she ran," Ryan said.

The woman was not injured, but was "pretty upset" when the police spoke to her, Ryan said.

Ryan said the woman told the police the three men spoke Spanish to her. Each of them is described as Latino. Ryan said the woman did not get a good look at them and was unable to provide additional information about the suspects.

Cases like the one along the pathway are rare in Park City. Ryan said the Police Department plans to conduct additional foot and bicycle patrols along the pathway.
