LOS ANGELES U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association (USSA) athletes walked away with three awards at the 2014 ESPY Awards. Olympic champion Jamie Anderson (S. Lake Tahoe, California) won Best Female Action Sports Athlete and Best Female U.S. Olympian.

Sage Kotsenburg (Park City), who opened the Olympics winning gold in slopestyle snowboarding’s debut, won Best Male U.S. Olympian.

"So stoked to get my ESPY!" Kotsenburg said. "It all seems so unreal still. Being in the audience with all those athletes that I look up to was awesome. I am so thankful for everything. Thank you to everyone that made this happen by voting!"

The USSA was the most represented sports organization at the 2014 ESPY Awards with nine Olympic athletes nominated in five categories. Sochi Olympians Mikaela Shiffrin (Eagle-Vail, Colorado), David Wise (Reno, Nevada), Maddie Bowman (S. Lake Tahoe, California), Kelly Clark (West Dover, Vermont), Kaitlyn Farrington (Bellevue, Idaho), Joss Christensen (Park City), and Ted Ligety (Park City) also received nominations. The USSA played a key role in advancing new events like slopestyle into the Olympics.
