The Park City Police Department last week received a series of complaints involving hit-and-run traffic accidents.
The cases included: on Friday, Aug. 1 at 2:20 p.m., a report was logged on the 1300 block of Lowell Avenue. The damage occurred the night before in a parking lot, the police were told. There was damage to the driver's side door and mirror, police logs indicated. on Thursday, July 31 at 10:08 p.m., a vehicle was reportedly hit at the intersection of Heber Avenue and Swede Alley. Someone apparently left a note indicating they saw the other driver hit the vehicle, get out, look at the damage and drive off. on July 31 at 9:21 p.m., a case was reported on the 2200 block of Deer Valley Drive. The damage was found on the rear passenger side, the police were told. The accident occurred between 4:30 p.m. and 9 p.m. on Tuesday, July 29 at 12:27 p.m., a vehicle was hit somewhere along Bonanza Drive. The driver did not stop, the police were told. on July 29 at 9:44 a.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported somewhere along Sidewinder Drive. Public police logs did not provide details. on Monday, July 28 at 5:27 p.m., a hit-and-run traffic accident was reported on the 700 block of Main Street. A driver apparently backed into the victim's vehicle in a garage. A taillight and the rear of the car were damaged, the police were told.
Another case that involved damage to a vehicle but apparently not as a result of a hit-and-run accident was logged at 8:13 a.m. on the 400 block of Marsac Avenue. The vehicle was damaged the night before while it was in a parking lot. The police were told it appeared someone jumped on the hood.
