On Sunday, Jan. 17 at 9:50 p.m., a man suspected to be intoxicated, reportedly was seen in the back door of a residence along Annie Oakley Drive. The man appeared to be in his 40s, the police were told. The Police Department indicated the circumstances were suspicious.

Someone lost a wallet at a restaurant on Short Line Road at 4:10 p.m.

At 2:44 p.m., the police received a complaint that a dog bit another dog on Broken Spoke Way. The owner of the dog needed to bring the pet to a veterinarian, the police were told.

A man was seen sleeping in the Old Town transit center at 5:01 a.m.

At 12:34 a.m., a man was suspected to be intoxicated on Main Street. The man refused to leave the location, the police were told.

On Saturday, Jan. 16 at 11:37 p.m., the police received a report of three cabs stopped on Main Street in a location where they blocked traffic in both directions.

At 8:36 p.m., people were reported to be throwing snowballs at cars somewhere along Park Avenue.

A person on a motorcycle was reportedly seen driving through Round Valley at 2:58 p.m. The motorcyclist was seen in sagebrush, the police were told.

The police at 1:27 p.m. received a complaint that four marks made by a BB gun or a pellet gun were found on an engine somewhere along Holiday Ranch Loop Road. Public police logs did not provide details about whether the engine was in an open area.

At 12:39 p.m., someone reportedly was attempting to sell a condominium that might not have been an actual residence. The report was logged on Main Street, but it was not clear from public police logs whether the unit is on that street.

A suspected drunken driving case was reported on S.R. 224 at 3:32 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.

At 3:27 a.m., the police received a complaint about a vehicle breaking the arm of a parking garage gate on the 700 block of Main Street. The driver was leaving at time, the police were told. The driver left northbound on Deer Valley Drive, according to the police.

On Friday, Jan. 15 at 6:53 p.m., skis were reported stolen on Lowell Avenue.

At 6:06 p.m., the police received a report that a person selling a vehicle attempted to cash the check, but the bank indicated the check was fraudulent. The case was reported on Mellow Mountain Road. The Police Department classified the case as suspected fraud.

A vehicle was reported to have been damaged by a shopping cart on Park Avenue at 3:12 p.m. The Police Department said the case was civil in nature rather than criminal.

At 12:36 p.m., the police received a report that a credit card had been used fraudulently. The case was logged on Lowell Avenue. Public police logs did not provide details.

On Thursday, Jan. 14 at 10:15 p.m., a suspected idling violation was reported on Kearns Boulevard.

The Police Department at 1:26 p.m. received a report that a bedspread, possibly shredded with a knife, and a slashed pillow on a bed were found on Lucky John Drive. The hood of a car had been damaged with a key, the police were told. The Police Department classified the case as suspected criminal mischief.

On Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 10:54 a.m., a trash bag was found in a lane of travel at or close to the intersection of S.R. 224 and Meadows Drive.

A driver hit a deer on Richardson Flat Road sometime prior to the 2:34 a.m. report to the police and did not stop. The deer needed to be put down, the police said.

A suspected drunken driving case was reported on Heber Avenue at 1:21 a.m. Public police logs did not provide details.

On Tuesday, Jan. 12 at 8:12 p.m., a suspected violation of the idling prohibition was reported on Main Street. A similar case was reported at 10:45 a.m. on Swede Alley while three other suspected violations were logged in the 7 a.m. hour on Sidewinder Drive. Two cases were reported in the 7 a.m. hour on Main Street as well.

At 1:58 p.m., the police received a report involving a situation described as a suspected scam. The case was logged on Gallivan Loop and involved a man planning to bring $1,500 in cash to the U.S. Marshals Service. The man’s wife was worried the man was the victim of a scam, according to police logs. The Police Department indicated the circumstances were suspicious.

At 2:20 a.m., a man was reported to be sleeping in a vehicle on Marsac Avenue. The Police Department said the circumstances were suspicious.

On Monday, Jan. 11 at 12:12 p.m., a City Hall bus broke down at or close to the intersection of Kearns Boulevard and Bonanza Drive. The bus blocked traffic, the police said.
