Ongoing at the Library:
Baby and Me: Every Monday at 3:30 p.m. and Wednesday at 10 a.m. babies and toddlers are invited to bring their parents for a special storytime. Children sit in the laps of their parent or caregiver while participating in nursery rhymes, fingerplays, and music. The time is wrapped up with a socialization periods where small children learn how to share and enjoy books. The program is designed for infants to age 2.
Toddler Time: This class is held on Thursdays at 11 a.m. for children 2-3 years of age. Stories, songs, fingerplays, movement and a craft are introduced to caregivers/parents and toddlers.
Preschool Storytime: For the slightly older young child, a preschool specific time is offered on Thursdays at 10 a.m. The morning includes stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft. For children ages 3-5
Combined Storytime: The library offers a story time that includes all children ages 2-5 on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Like the preschool storytime, children listen to stories
Family Storytime: This is a class for the whole brood. Children of all ages are invited to enjoy stories, songs, fingerplays and a craft. Please check the calendar for dates and times.
Special events
The Magic of Timothy: On Monday, June 23 at 11 a.m., kids and adults are invited to a magic show featuring The Magic of Timothy.
Bedtimes Stories: Beginning in June 9, the library will start Monday night Family Bedtime Stories. Everyone is invited to wear their pajamas and enjoy stories, songs and more.
Cool Tunes: On Wednesday, July 30 at 11 a.m. the library will offer Cool Tunes, music by Eric Herman and his Invisible Band. The band specializes in original, funny songs and audience participation.
Bugs and Invertebrates: On Wednesday, Aug. 6 at 11 a.m., the Hogle Zoo will present "Bugs and Invertebrates" at the library and teach all about creepy, crawly bugs like millipedes, scorpions, tarantulas and even a giant Madagascar cockroach.

Recreation
Swim Lessons: Spend some time splashing around with your tot in Park City Recreation's Parent Tot Swim class this summer. Designed for children ages six months to three years, the class helps kids get used to water and prepares them for swimming lessons. Evening classes makes it easy for working parents to attend. There are also a number of daytime classes offered throughout the spring and summer. Springs lessons run though May and June and summer lessons take place in June and July. Rookie League Softball and Baseball: This one isn't a parent/child class, but parents can observe from nearby as Basin Recreation and Stretch and Grow of Utah combine to offer a co-ed beginner class for three and four-year-olds. Gym Kids: Black Diamond Gymnastics offers Gym Kids, a program designed specifically for little ones. The curriculum has six different classes within its program and focuses on the young child and his or her basic developmental needs. The "themed" lessons change every two weeks throughout the year. The activities for each age group is specifically designed to meet objectives gross and fine motor development, cognitive development, social skills, positive self-esteem and basic gymnastics and movement education . Levels include, Diaper Daredevils, a parent-assisted class for ages 12-24 months, Tumble Bugs for ages 24-36 months, Tumble Bees for ages 3-4, Tumble Frogs for ages 4-5 and Tumble Time for ages 3-5. and More Your Barn Door's Open This one's for the whole family. The Friends of the Farm are hosting, "Your Barn Door's Open" on June 21, from 5:30-9:00 p.m. The night will include food, dancing and new displays in the farmhouse. There will also be contra and music by Mike Iverson and the Blue Sage Trio. A pig roast catered by Kumbayah Kitchens will round out the evening. The Barn door will be open bring family and friends.
