Fundraiser exceeds expectations
Park City resident and throat-cancer survivor Pete Young, second from the right, takes time to smile with members of the local rock band Peace Kahuna at a fundraiser in Pinebrook on Feb. 2. Peace Kahuna provided the entertainment during the event, which also features dancing, opportunity drawings, auctions and refreshments. The event raised nearly $10,000, which was almost 10 times the initial goal. Christenson said the event wouldn’t have been as successful without the help and support of Park City’s residents and local businesses.
