Free Film Screening of 'Smoke Signals'
Sundance Institute will present a free screening of Chris Eyre's 1998 film "Smoke Signals," rated PG-13, in the Jim Santy Auditorium at the Park City Library and Education Center, 1255 Park Ave., on Thursday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m. The film, with a screenplay written by Sherman Alexie, is about a young Native-American man named Thomas, who is a nerd in his reservation, wearing oversized glasses and telling everyone stories no one wants to hear. The screening, which is part of the 2013 One Book, One Community program, will be followed by a panel discussion with Eyre and Alexie. Tumbleweeds Film Festival: 'Kid Party Mix'
