Pioneer Theatre Company's Loge Gallery will host an open call to provide an opportunity for local artists to share their desert-themed artwork with the theatre community.

The juried exhibit will be on display during Pioneer Theatre Company's production of "Other Desert Cities," that will run from Oct. 25 through Nov. 9.

Submissions of desert-themed artwork will be accepted in the lobby of Pioneer Theatre Company, at Simmons Pioneer Memorial Theatre, 1340 E.1400 South on the University of Utah campus, on Saturday, Oct. 19, from 1 p.m. until 5 p.m.

Artists may submit up to two pieces of their work for consideration.

Most mediums, except jewelry or displays that are larger than six feet in either direction, will be considered for exhibition.

All art must be prepared for display, including hanging devices if necessary.

Artists must be age 18 or older.

If work is made available for sale, PTC will earn a 30 percent commission, so artists must set their prices accordingly.

Artists must also provide a W-9 form to PTC if they want to sell their works.

Entry forms are available at the Pioneer Theatre Company box-office or online and must be included when art is submitted.

There is no entry fee.

All artwork, whether it was included in the show or not, must be picked up Nov. 12, from between the hours of 3 p.m. and 6 p.m.
