Little Naturalists: Story Time at Swaner EcoCenter
The Swaner EcoCener, 1258 Center Dr. at Kimball Junction, will host a Little Naturalists session for kids ages 3 to 5, on Monday, Oct. 21, from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. The stories will be "Pumpkin Soup" by Helen Cooper and "From Seed to Pumpkin" by Wendy Pfeffer. The children will also decorate a pumpkin. Pre-registration is appreciated, but not required. The cost is $2 per family per program, or a $15 punch card good for eight programs (only one punch card required per family). Kimball Art Center Art Talk: Peter Golub
The Kimball Art Center, 638 Park Ave., will feature composer Peter Golub, director of the Sundance Institute's film music program for this month's Art Talk on Tuesday, Oct. 22, at 6 p.m. Golub, who has composed more than 30 film scores, will show examples from classic and contemporary films, including some of his own work, to examine how music shapes a film and impacts the audience's perception of that film. Park City Wine Club October event supports Breast Cancer Awareness
Park City Wine Club will host an October tasting titled "Sonoma Harvest," on Wednesday, Oct. 23, at the Deer Valley Grocery Café, 1375 Deer Valley Dr., from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. The night will feature wines of Sonoma, and tasty bites from the cafe. Proceeds from this event will benefit Image Reborn Foundation that provides retreats for women who have been diagnosed with breast cancer. The cost is $40 per person. RSVP is required by Oct. 21.
