Park City: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah is hosting its annual Bowl For Kids' Sake event on Saturday, March 29, 2014, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Jupiter Bowl, 1090 Center Drive, Park City.
Bowl For Kids' Sake is a fundraiser used to increase awareness and support so that more children in the community can realize their potential through professionally supported, one-to-one mentoring relationships. Big Brothers Big Sisters has been bowling for kids' sake for over 25 years in Utah.
In 2013, over $140,000.00 was raised by local community members.
Volunteers may participate as a team captain or bowler. Each bowling team consists of 5 members, who each raise a minimum of $100 in pledges. On the day of the event, participating bowlers receive two hours of bowling, shoe rentals, pizza, drinks, T-shirts, and prizes from our generous community sponsors. Prize incentives and drawings include gift cards, an iPad mini, tickets to our Chef & Child gala, and a week vacation for two at a Mayan Palace resort in Mexico.
This event is open to anyone who would like to participate in a fun activity that gives back to the community. Bowl for Kids' Sake is a great team-building activity for companies or an entertaining outing for families and friends. Sponsorship opportunities for companies are available.
"Bowl for Kids' Sake brings the whole community together in support of a positive future for our kids," said Brandi Jolley, vice president of fund development for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah. "Every dollar raised through Bowl for Kids' Sake directly funds our mentoring programs in Utah and helps to maintain and sustain our mentoring relationships, increasing a child's chance for success."
