Arts-Kids, a nonprofit organization that has been helping children and teens of Park City and Summit county learn life skills through the expressive arts for 15 years, will host a celebration on Saturday, June 7, at Don and Mary Mealing's home in the Colony from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The event will be hosted by Arts-Kids founder and executive director Pat Drewry Sanger. Former Park City Mayor Dana Williams will be the Master of Ceremonies and live music will be provided by singer and songwriter Mary Beth Maziarz. Speakers will include Mayor Jack Thomas will speak former long time Arts-Kid Alex Weaver. Members of the U.S. Womens' Olympic Ski jumping Team will also be in attendance. Share the Road
The ninth-annual Share the Road ride, to raise awareness of cycling safety for drivers, will take place Monday, June 9, at 6 p.m. It is a 16-mile ride that begins and ends at the Cole Sport parking lot, 1615 Park Ave. in Park City. Newcomers of Greater Park City Coffee
The Newcomers of Greater Park City will host its monthly coffee at Park City Community Church, 4501 N. S.R. 224, on Wednesday, June 11, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
This month's speaker will be Susan Phillips from the nonprofit organization Arts-Kids. She will talk about how Arts-Kids reaches out to children who are trying to deal with economic, social or emotional pressures through the use of art and group dynamics. The Average White Band at the Egyptian Theatre
