Summit had five top-three podiums and 10 top-five podiums thanks to all the hard effort by the athletes and coaches at Plan 7 Endurance Coaching and Gear Rush Skills leading up to the event.

The Junior Cat 2/3 athletes raced Friday evening on the short course before the Summer Solstice Short Track. Skylar Patten and Mila Leger Redel took the wins for their respective genders in the Cat 2/3 Juniors and Estin Hicke took seventh. Matthew Turner raced in the short track and placed 30th in the Pro Men's category.

On Saturday, everyone raced the full-length course. Trace Williams raced singlespeed and got fourth and was the only one in his category under the age of 30. Zach Calton and Danny Fendler podiumed with first- and second-place finishes in the Cat 1 Junior Men 17-18 division. Drew Palmer-Leger finished second in the Cat 1 Junior Men 15-16 while teammates Connor Patten and Tommy Fendler placed fourth and ninth, respectively.

Sydney Palmer-Leger, who is 12 years old and racing up in age groups, battled her way to second place in the Cat 1 Junior Women 15 -16 while also besting all the UCI Junior Women 17-18, while teammate Sienna Leger Redel took third in the same category.

The Summit Utah Devo athletes got to cheer on Park City professional mountain racers Matthew Turner, Keegan Swenson, Alex Grant, Erica Tingey and Evelyn Dong during the Pro races Saturday evening. It was very exciting watching racers launch off the A-Line Gap jump and Buffalo jump. Alex Grant and Erica Tingey are both coaches for Summit Bike Club's Utah Devos.

After the first lap of the Pro Men's race, the team landed an interview on live TV with the main sponsor Zillastate, which can be viewed online.

Many members of the team raced on their Cannondale Flash 29'ers.

"The bikes are very light and responsive which allowed us to fly up the 900 vertical feet of climbing every lap," said Drew Palmer-Leger.

The team's next big race is the U.S. Cup/Kenda Cup in Colorado Springs, Colorado, next weekend, followed by WORS Cup in Portage, Wisconsin, and USA Cycling Cross Country Mountain Bike National Championships in Bear Creek Resort, Pennsylvania.
