Fourth of July 5K
Kick off the Fourth of July with the 31st annual 5K fun run and help support the kids of the Park City Ski Team along with Cole Sport, Industrial Supply, Chase Bank, Silver King Coffee and Jim Clifford Builders. Adults can pre-register for $30 and kids under 12 for $20 at Cole Sport by July 3 until 5 p.m. or online at http://www.runnercard.com. Race-day registration is $35 or $25 for kids under 12 at the Cole Sport Park Avenue store from 6:30-7:30 a.m. T-shirts, age group and overall awards and prizes included. Free Lunchtime Learning at the PC MARC
Jill Rathburn, RN, will educate parents and their children about smart and easy vertical gardening during Park City Recreation’s next monthly Lunchtime Learning, Wednesday, July 10, at noon at the PC MARC. This promises to be a fun, interactive presentation using the state-of-the-art aeroponic vertical gardening system, The Tower Garden. Participants are welcome to bring their own lunches. Summer Learn to Skate and Learn to Play
Beat the summer heat with Park City Ice Arena Summer Skating Academy and Hockey Academy classes beginning July 8. Classes meet Mondays and Wednesdays for three weeks for a total of six classes. Skating Academy classes are offered for skaters of all ages (3-adult) and abilities (beginner through advanced). Class fees include lesson time, practice time, skate rental and a punch card for three open-skate sessions. Hockey Academy classes are offered for players ages 4 through 13 who are able to skate forward and backward and stop in hockey skates. Class fees include the lessons and a punch card for two stick and puck sessions. Equipment rental is available for an additional fee, if available. Youth Football Camp
Calling all youth football players ages 8-14. Back by popular demand, it’s summer football camp. Aaron Alford, a former University of Utah football coach, and Park City Youth Football are joining forces to teach youth players the basic fundamentals of football. The camp will be held July 1-2, 9-11:30 a.m., at Treasure Mountain Junior High School. Walk-up registration is 8-9 a.m. on July 1. This camp has historically sold out quickly. Please show up with cleats and water (no-pads camp). The cost: $30 for the first child, $20 for each additional child.
Intro to Lacrosse
Basin Recreation is partnering with Team Altitude for an introduction to lacrosse program Aug. 5-9 at Trailside Park. The clinic will run 9-11 a.m. each day. First through third graders will learn the fundamentals of the game and be provided with sticks and eye protection for practice. Cost is $55 per week. Start of Summer at Basin Rec
Join Basin Recreation for the first Start of Summer event on Saturday, June 29, at Trailside Park. A 5K color run, a 1-mile run, and a 100-yard dash will take place from 10 a.m. to noon. A free "Kids Karnival" will run from noon to 2 p.m. Enjoy bounce houses, sprinklers, and kids’ games in the summer sun. Skateboard Camp at Park City Skate Park
Park City Recreation has the area’s best skaters teaching children to skate this summer. Helmets and pads are required with equipment available upon request. Weekly morning sessions (Monday through Thursday) are available through Aug. 15 with classes for all levels including beginners-only. Private and semi-private lessons are also available. Summer Swim Lessons

Pickleball at the PC MARC
One of the fastest growing sports in America, Pickleball is now offered at the PC MARC. This fun sport has simple rules and lots of action. Racquet-sport enthusiasts and newcomers are welcome to play on the MARC’s three indoor Pickleball courts Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-9 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. Fee is $3 per player. Co-ed Kickball League
Park City Recreation’s Adult Co-ed Kickball League runs Aug. 7 thru Oct. 9 on Wednesdays, 6-9 p.m. Recreational and competitive divisions are offered. The deadline for team registration in July 31. There is a $325 fee per team. For registration, visit parkcityrecreation.org or call 615-5400.
Learn to Swim at Silver Mountain
Youth swim lessons at Silver Mountain Sports Club are offered throughout the summer. There are eight half-hour lessons in each session with one instructor for every four children. Dog Obedience Classes at the PC MARC
Certified local dog trainer Heather Hampsten is teaching Puppy, Basic and Intermediate classes on Tuesdays, June 25-July 30. Classes are for adults over 16 and their dogs. Summer Skate Series
Park City Recreation presents Utah’s premier skate competition series at the Park City Skate Park. The first competition will be held June 29, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., with more to follow throughout the summer. Six divisions cater to all levels of skaters, and there are great prizes. Soldier Hollow Youth Adventure Camp
Calling all children ages 8-10: It’s time to sign up for the Soldier Hollow Youth Adventure Camp. The camp, which features biathlons, hiking, games, swimming, indoor rock climbing, a ropes course, agility events and more, will have one more session this summer: July 8-10. Couples League at PC Golf Club
The Couples League, for beginning to advanced golfers, is new for 2013 at the Park City Golf Club. Handicaps are not used and you do not have to be a member of the UGA. Swim Lessons at Silver Mountain
Silver Mountain Sports Club is now accepting registrations for youth summer swim lessons and swim team. Morning, evening and Saturday lessons are available. The program continues through Aug. 15. Mini Tennis Camp at PC MARC
For ages 3 to 7, Mini Camp at the PC MARC started June 1 with the first of three summer sessions. Fieldhouse Summer Pass Sale

35th Annual Soccer Camps
