Bill George recorded a hole-in-one on Soldier Hollow’s Gold Course. On Hole No. 5, George used a 3-hybrid to make the 163-yard shot. The ace was witnessed by Leslie George.
On June 5, Jim J. Slade recorded a hole-in-one at Crater Springs Golf Course. On Hole No. 12, Slade used a pitching wedge from the blue tees. The shot was witnessed by Blaine Rees, Debbi Rees and Chuck Olson.

Youth Dirt Jump Camp
PC Recreation’s dirt jump instructors will help children excel in the sport of progressive mountain biking with clinics for all levels of riders held at the Park City Dirt Jump Park. Adult Dirt Jump Clinic
Get comfortable riding at the Park City Dirt Jump Park with our instructors who will help you quickly advance in progressive mountain biking. Beginner Golf Clinics
On June 11, 15 and 18, Park City Golf Course will host beginner golf clinics. The clinics will run from 5:30-7 p.m. The cost is $125 per person and each clinic will be limited to 12 people. The clinics will by taught by Ken Stenmark and Nate Roberts.
PC Tennis Bartenders Cup
Don’t miss a Park City tennis tradition. The 36th Annual Bartenders Cup will be held Friday evening, June 19, and Saturday, June 20, at the PC MARC. Sign-up sheets and more info are available at the tennis office. Players will be assigned to a team with an adult beverage name and designated color. 2.5 to 5.0 NTRP-rated players are welcome. Aaron Alford Memorial Camp
The third-annual Aaron Alford G.O.A.T. Football Camp will be in Park City June 29-July 1. From 9 a.m. to noon each day, athletes ages 7-13 are invited to attend the camp at Dozier Field. The cost is $50, which includes free swag. The camp will by coached by Tony Alford, the running backs coach at Ohio State University. Joining him will be NFL running back Theo Riddick, NFL wide receiver TJ Jones, Montana State defensive line coach Bo Beck, Weber State Associate Head Coach Brent Myers and Bill Reagan, the founder and director of Top Gun QB Academy. Doubles Volleyball League
PC Recreation’s Doubles Volleyball League takes place Thursday evenings, June 18 through Aug. 20. The open division of 2v2 play welcomes men, women and coed teams. Prizes will be awarded to the top three teams. The round-robin format is played at the City Park Sand Courts, and there is a $100 fee per team. Park City Recreation’s third-annual Tiny Tri on Saturday, June 13, is a great way for kids to get some triathlon experience on a smaller scale or prepare for the upcoming season. Rail Trail Closure
The Rail Trail is now closed under the bridge around mile post 153 between Promontory and Wanship. Due to construction in the Silver Creek area, it will remain closed throughout the summer and into the fall. Recreational users can still use most of the trail from Promontory or Wanship toward the bridge, but won’t be able to cross all the way through. The Utah Department of Transportation anticipates completing construction by mid-October, but that depends on weather conditions.
PC Recreation Soccer Camp
Coach Randy Farris provides a high-quality, exciting camp for soccer-skill development for ages 7 to 15. Three sessions are offered throughout the summer with a choice of morning-only or full-day, Monday through Friday. Camps start June 15. Pre-Comp Swim Team
Swimmers ages 6 to 14 wishing to compete at a recreational level will benefit from coaching on stroke technique, speed and endurance by taking part in this summer’s Pre-Comp Swim Team at the PC MARC lap pool. Junior Golf Camps
These clinic style camps at the Park City Golf Course will cover all areas of the game of golf. Each clinic includes safety, grip, stance, putting, chipping, full swing, course etiquette and rules. Golf clubs will be furnished if needed. Each camp is four days, including a Play Day. The Play Day includes a lunch following play on the golf course. The camps run June 8-10 (Play Day June 11), June 15-17 (Play Day June 18) and June 22-24 (Play Day June 25) from 9 a.m. to noon each day. The cost is $165 per session and sign-up is available at any time at Park City Golf Course.
PC Recreation’s youth karate teaches children life lessons that build self-esteem, confidence, respect and fitness. The next session will be held at the PC MARC June 8 to July 1 on Mondays and Wednesdays. PC Recreation has lined up Park City’s best skaters for our Summer Skateboard Camp to teach children the basics and new tricks at the Park City Skate Park. The Hiking Club
Learn new trails and meet like-minded enthusiasts with Basin Recreation’s "The Hiking Club," a Fun Over Fifty affiliate. With three tiers, The Hiking Club is sure to offer something for everyone. The free "Level 1: Walk n’ Roll Hikes" begin at The Fieldhouse and conclude at the Newpark Free Concert Series every Thursday from 4-6 p.m. These hikes are great for the new hiker or anyone simply looking for fun social exercise. If you get bored, try "Movin’ On Up: Level 2" ($5 every other Friday). These hikes are varied difficulties and range from 3-7 miles in distance. Still bored? Check out "Level 3: Up, Up and Away Hikes" ($10 every other Friday). These are the biggest and boldest peaks in the Wasatch, which means there is some travel time and great photo ops. This gradual approach to hiking and exercise allows you to decide when to take the next step.

Start of Summer 2015
Join Basin Recreation for the StART of Summer Color Run on Saturday, June 20, at Willow Creek Park. A 5K color run, a 1-mile run and a 100-dash will take place from 9-11 a.m. The cost for the 5K is $20 per person or $40 per family prior to June 19. Volleyball Summer Camp at Apex Volleyball is starting June 8. Beach volleyball groups are available for beginners, intermediate and advanced, ages 8 to 18. Volleyball is one of the fastest growing sports, and beach volleyball is now an NCAA sport. Apex had an incredible indoor season in 2015. The 12U team was the second-youngest team, but excelled to normally finish in the top two at tournaments. The 15U team had 19 wins in a row and four straight tournament championships.
