Cinco de Mayo Zumba Master Class at The Fieldhouse

Rail Trail Closure

The Rail Trail is now closed under the bridge around mile post 153 between Promontory and Wanship. Due to construction in the Silver Creek area, it will remain closed throughout the summer and into the fall. Recreational users can still use most of the trail from Promontory or Wanship toward the bridge, but won’t be able to cross all the way through. The Utah Department of Transportation anticipates completing construction by mid-October, but that depends on weather conditions.

Community Soccer Meeting

Park City Soccer Club will be holding an informational meeting at 6 p.m. on Thursday, May 7, in the Community Room at the Trailside Offices to answer any questions the Park City community may have concerning competitive level youth soccer. Park City Soccer Club offers competitive soccer programs for boys and girls ages 6-18. Team tryouts for the 2015-16 seasons are May 18-30. Pre-Comp Swim Team and Spring Swim Lessons

Park City Recreation offers two great opportunities for kids to get a jump start on the summer swim season at the PC MARC. Spring Swim Lessons for ages six months to 12 years are offered May 5-28 on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. Bike With Basin Adult Bike Series

Tune up your bike this spring for a variety of clinics offered through Basin Recreation. Whether on the road or through the mountains, Basin Recreation has a clinic for you. These beginner to intermediate clinics start the end of April and go through May. PCHS Youth Boys Basketball Camp

Featuring Coach Fine, his staff and players, the PCHS Youth Boys Basketball Camp will be held at the Park City High School gymnasiums June 8-10 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. The cost is $70 for pre-registration through June 1 and $80 for on-site registration. The camp is for players in grades 4-8. Pre-register by emailing Coach Fine at cfine@pcschools.us by June 1, or register on-site beginning at 8:30 a.m. June 8 at PCHS.

Summer Fitness Master Class

Join Basin Recreation for a fitness morning filled with cardio drills, strength activities, and tons of fun! ‘Got Barre?’ Special Class

Basin Recreation is will present the ‘Got Barre?’ Special Class on Saturday, July 11, from 10:45 a.m. to 12 p.m. at The Fieldhouse. This special event will be taught by the creator of ‘Got Barre?’ Laura Collier. This event is $10 and pre-registration is required. Teen Ultimate Frisbee Camp

Looking for a cool teen scene this summer? Basin Recreation has partnered with The Salt Lake Lions Professional Disc Team to offer a weeklong Teen Ultimate Frisbee Camp (TUF Camp). Learn the art of throwing a Frisbee and some Ultimate Frisbee 101 while playing games and hanging out with your friends. Campers will mix it up with some disc golf throughout the week. First Aid/CPR Course

Make sure you are prepared when an emergency happens by learning First Aid, CPR and AED Skills with Park City Recreation’s one-day course. National Safety Council Instructors will lead the program for those 15 and older from 5:30 to 10 p.m. on Monday, May 18, at the PC MARC. The fee is $50. Parent/Kid and All Girl Skate Clinics

PC Recreation offers instructional skate clinics for kids and their parents and all girls at the Park City Skate Park on Sundays, May 3-31. Dog Obedience Classes at the PC MARC

Certified local dog trainer Heather Hampsten will teach Puppy, Basic and Intermediate classes on Tuesday evenings, May 12 to June 16 at the PC MARC. Fun Over Fifty Painting Parties

Join Basin Recreation at The Paint Mixer for "a night filled with fun and unique entertainment." As part of the new Fun Over Fifty recreation category, Basin Recreation has scheduled some painting parties at The Paint Mixer. Unleash your inner artist and join a fun group for a two-hour step-by-step instruction led by a local artist. The events will take place May 14 from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and June 18 from 2-4 p.m. These are sure to be fun events for everyone and you will take home your very own masterpiece. Give it a ‘TRI’ Fitness Program

Can you swim two lengths in the pool? Can you complete an indoor cycling class? Can you walk or jog around the block? You can be ready for your first triathlon with Basin Recreation’s Give it a "TRI" — a Triathlon Fitness Program for beginners! This six-week program will introduce you to the elements of a triathlon and have you ready for a race. The program runs April 14 through May 21 every Tuesday and Thursday from 9:15 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at the Ecker Hill Aquatic Center or The Fieldhouse. The cost is $125 for 12 sessions. Running Fitness Program

Get into summer shape and enjoy the view from beautiful trails with Basin Recreation’s Running Fitness Program. All running levels are welcome. The program will run May 5 through June 4 on Tuesday and Thursday from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. The cost is $50 for 10 sessions, with the added bonus of $25 off the Park City Trail Series. Youth Karate

PC Recreation’s Youth Karate teaches children life lessons that build self-esteem, confidence, respect and fitness. The next session will be held at the PC MARC April 20 to May 29, and each group meets twice per week. Springtime is soccer time at PC Recreation. Basin Recreation Ultimate Frisbee League

Ultimate Frisbee is Basin Recreation’s newest way to play! Ultimate is a fast-paced frisbee game similar to soccer and football, but uses a rule set all its own. This co-ed league will feature 10 regular season matches and a double-elimination tournament. Individual registration means you do not have to have a whole team to sign-up, but you can register with a friend ("baggage") if you prefer. Teams drafted based on playing experience. Bike With Basin Youth Summer Mountain Bike Camps

Park City Youth Soccer Academy

Cardio Tennis at the PC MARC

Cardio Tennis combines the best features of tennis with cardiovascular exercise to deliver a full-body aerobic workout. Taught by a tennis professional, Cardio Tennis is held Mondays from 9 to 10:30 a.m. at the PC MARC. Players of all levels are welcome to enjoy this dynamic workout that uses the agility ladder, cardio stations and cardio balls. The class fee is $26. Park City Soccer Club Spring Academy

The Park City Soccer Club’s annual Spring Academy began Feb. 5 and ends on May 15. Six- and seven-year-olds will practice from 5-6 p.m. on Thursdays. Eight- to 10-year-olds will practice from 6-7 p.m. on Thursdays. Everyone will practice on Fridays from 5-6 p.m. Players can join at any time during the spring. A Minor Spin Class
