Business After Hours Mixer

Park City Chamber/Bureau is hosting its next 'Business After Hours Mixer' Thursday, May 9 from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m., hosted by the Park Silly Sunday Market. The affair will take place at the Park Silly Sunday Market offices located at 1787 Sidewinder Drive. Those who attend, will enjoy live performers, silly costumes, complimentary hors d'oeuvres and beverages, while networking with fellow Chamber /Bureau members and celebrating 30 days until the market opens. Local pizzeria supports Friends of Animals Utah

Park City Pizza Company is offering free pizza to those who donate a supply that benefits the Friends of Animals Utah this month. In hopes to collect supplies necessary to keep Furburbia and the Ranch in great working order, donations should be brought to the local pizzeria during the month of May. A list of needed supplies can be found at the Park City Pizza Company website at or Friends of Animals Utah at . Any donation, small or large, will be rewarded with a small specialty pizza. Household hazardous waste collection event

Recycle Utah and Park City Sunrise Rotary Club are holding a free household hazardous waste drop-off day for Summit County residents. The event will take place today from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. in the Canyons parking lot, off State Road 224. Only residential waste will be accepted; no construction or business waste is permitted. All residential household hazardous waste will be accepted, including: pharmaceuticals; paints, varnishes, solvents; automotive fluids such as motor oil and antifreeze; car batteries and gasoline; household cleaners and bleach; fertilizers and pesticides; rechargeable batteries; pool and spa chemicals; propane and gas fuel cylinders; compact fluorescent bulbs (CFLs); refrigerators and freezers; electronic waste; and mercury-containing items such as thermometers and smoke detectors.
