Internet Safety Parent Night
Ecker Hill Middle School is scheduled to host an Internet Safety Parents Night for the community on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 6 to 7 p.m. at the school. Parents are asked not to bring their students or children.
International Day of the Girl
Across six continents, people will celebrate the International Day of the Girl, including Park City. Students and staff at Ecker Hill Middle School (EHMS), Treasure Mountain Junior High School (TMJH) and Park City High School (PCHS) will all wear pink, according to a press release. Commemorative pink t-shirts outlawing "Mean Girls" and celebrating Park City Stands Together Against Bullying have been distributed at all three schools. Everyone, including boys and men, are asked to wear pink on October 11, the release continued. From 8:15 to 8:45 a.m., EHMS will host a breakfast for all female students and their parents. The breakfast will feature special guest speakers. At all three schools, students will hear stories, facts and music to empower girls. T-shirts are available for purchase at TMJHS. The American Red Cross is scheduled to host a Babysitting Training course starting Friday, Oct. 12 from 6 to 8 p.m. The second course is scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
