Jeremy Ranch chess program

Jeremy Ranch Elementary School is scheduled to host a 12-week chess program course taught by chess Grandmaster Rashad Babaev. Babaev became a Grandmaster in 2007 and has won several international tournaments.

The classes will be held at Jeremy Ranch on Fridays from March 7 until May 30. Jeremy Ranch students can take the class from 12:40 p.m. until 1:40 p.m., and students from all other Park City School District schools can take the class from 1:45 until 2:45 p.m. For more information or to register, contact Jeremy Ranch Elementary School at 645-5670.

New Kimball Art Center exhibit

The Kimbal Art Center has debuted a new exhibit called Art of the Timepiece, which, according to a press release, contains educational messages that tie into the classroom. The Art Center is providing free arts tours to all Summit County Schools, either at the center or in the classroom.

Volunteer judges still needed

The Park City School District Science Fair is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, and volunteer judges are still needed. Those with a background in education or science can sign up for various time frames throughout the day, so the time commitment is minimal.
