Between Monday, Dec. 30, and Wednesday, Jan. 1, the Summit County Sheriff's Office responded to calls including the following:

A report of two children being abused by their intoxicated father came in from the Snyderville Basin. The suspected man, who had active warrants for his arrest on domestic violence-related charges, was later found and he was transferred to the Heber City Police Department.

A woman in the Tollgate area reported that an individual had shown a gun to her husband in a threatening manner. Authorities were still waiting for suspect information from the husband at the time of the report.

A woman stated that while she was shopping at Newpark her car was broken into by an unknown suspect. More information on the vehicle was needed at the time of the report.

A pickup truck that had been seen driving around the South Summit area with expired registration was stopped and it was discovered the driver was only 15 years old. The vehicle was impounded and the boy was referred to juvenile court for a learners permit violation.

A juvenile was found to be under the influence of alcohol at Canyons Resort and was released to family friends at the resort.

Deputies responded to an active fight in progress in the Basin. One individual had fled on foot from the residence. Four individuals were found to be under the influence of alcohol; one was released on a criminal citation and the other three, all juveniles, were released to adults on juvenile citations.

A Summit Park resident stated that a male had assaulted him and a female. The male was reportedly an unwelcome and intoxicated party guest the night before and had left the area with a group after the incident. An investigation is still ongoing.

A woman in South Summit reported that two prescriptions and $219 in cash were stolen from her house while she was gone. The back door had been unlocked and she found unfamiliar footprints in the snow. She described the suspect, a male, to authorities, and the footprints were documented.

Deputies, along with troopers from Utah Highway Patrol, located and pulled over the occupant of a vehicle who was involved with a firearm brandishing incident in Salt Lake. The suspect's vehicle was pulled over on Interstate 80 eastbound and the passenger was taken into custody.

Authorities searched for a black pickup truck which had previously hit two trees on Highland Drive. The vehicle had damage to its front and potentially had Christmas lights wrapped around its axles.

A woman in North Summit reported that a male had assaulted her and accused her of stealing property from his truck. The man was not on the scene and could not be located at the time of the report.
