Between Tuesday, April 8, and Monday, April 14, the Summit County Sheriff's Office responded to numerous calls, including the following:
A report of a runaway juvenile female came from the Snyderville Basin. The complainant stated that the juvenile has a history of running away. She was later found in a hotel and was released to her parents.
A South Summit woman called to report that the back window of her pickup truck had been broken out with a pipe-like object. She said it appeared nothing was stolen. The case was put under investigation.
A Snyderville Basin woman stated that she was receiving harassing texts from a male and did not want to be contacted any more. Contact was attempted with the man.
A bartender at a Kimball Junction business reported a fight. A male suspect was stopped on foot and was found to be intoxicated. He refused to call a friend and said he would rather go to jail. The other man refused to press charges.
A juvenile female alleged that a juvenile male had assaulted her near Kimball Junction, though the male maintained that he had dropped something and accidentally hit her while reaching to grab it. The case was sent to be screened by the county attorney.
A woman who was intoxicated in South Summit became disorderly at the residence of a neighbor and was later arrested for intoxication.
Deputies responded to a residence at Kimball Junction on a report of domestic violence. The suspect, a male, was leaving the area and was stopped by officers.
A Basin woman called to report that her juvenile daughter was disorderly and had assaulted her. Deputies responded and found that to be true. While attempting to arrest the daughter, she kicked a deputy in the leg. She had to be carried to a patrol vehicle to be taken to juvenile detention.
Deputies responded to a report from a Basin woman who said her neighbor had been harassing her. The neighbor was told not to contact the woman by authorities, who noted there could be a continuing problem between the two.
A possible domestic violence incident between a man and a woman in the Basin appeared to have no physical altercation, as it was determined there was just a verbal dispute.
Two men in North Summit got into a dispute about one of them who had apparently assaulted a 13-year-old boy. There were no witnesses to the alleged assault and the boy showed no signs of injury. The male suspect refused to make a statement regarding the incident and was arrested and booked into jail.
Deputies responded to a report of child abuse in which it was found a 22-year-old female had assaulted a 13-year-old female. The female suspect was arrested, while the juvenile was released to her mother.
A male was arrested and booked into jail for being publicly intoxicated in the Kimball Junction area.
A potential child abuse case was reported from a Kimball Junction business. The caller saw a woman between 40 and 50 years old drag a 6- or 7-year-old child from a store to a vehicle with a Wyoming license plate. Deputies tried to contact the woman with no success and a welfare check was conducted by the Evanston Police Department in Wyoming.
An individual in North Summit called for a keep the peace order, as he was moving his belongings out of a residence he had been staying in with a woman.
