Forest road maps available

Even with spring underway, many roads in the Uinta-Wasatch-Cache National Forest are still covered in snow or are wet or muddy.

Although there are many roads still closed by gates due to adverse conditions, visitors to the forest can visit its website to obtain the most current motor vehicle use map that shows which roads and trails are open to motorized use.

Visitors can also call the forest at 801-999-2103 for information on which roads are open. The forest's website is fs.usda.gov/uwcnf. To view maps, click on 'Maps and Publications.'
