Sheriff’s Report, Feb. 20-22, 2015

Summit County Sheriff’s deputies responded to numerous calls between Monday, Feb. 9, and Monday, Feb. 16, including the following:

Monday, Feb. 16

A North Summit woman reported her car was stolen by a family member.

Sunday, Feb. 15

Five vehicles parked in a North Summit motel parking lot were keyed by an unknown suspect.

Saturday, Feb. 14

A warrant was issued for a man who violated drug court. He was located at his place of employment in Kimball Junction and booked into the Summit County Jail.

A North Summit resident reported excessive noise coming from motorcycles on a privately owned track.

Deputies arrested a man at a residence in Jeremy Ranch for intoxication, after dispatch received reports of domestic assault. Dispatch received a potential domestic violence-related 911 hang-up call causing deputies to respond to a residence in the South Snyderville Basin. Neither party reported an assault and no arrests were made.

Dispatch received reports of an intoxicated woman on the ground in the Kimball Junction area. Medical authorities were dispatched and after the woman was released, deputies arrested her for intoxication.

Deputies discovered an intoxicated driver in his parked vehicle on Old Highway 40. He was arrested for driving under the influence and for alcohol-related restrictions.

Friday, Feb. 13

An unknown suspect stole drugs from a locked cabinet at an Intermountain Health Clinic site in the South Snyderville Basin.

Deputies were dispatched to a construction site in the South Snyderville Basin after two employees got into an argument. One man was threatening another with a hammer, but the victim declined to file a complaint.

Deputies were dispatched to a hotel in the North Summit after receiving a 911 hang-up call. Deputies discovered unsupervised juveniles in a hotel room with alcohol. Four juveniles were released to their parents after receiving referrals for alcohol and tobacco-related offenses.

Dispatch received complaints of a vehicle driving erratically in North Summit on Interstate 80. Deputies stopped the vehicle and determined the person was intoxicated. He was booked into the Summit County Jail on multiple alcohol-related charges.

Thursday, Feb. 12

Deputies served a woman in the South Snyderville Basin with a civil stalking injunction.

Wednesday, Feb. 11

Following a traffic stop on State Road 32, the driver was found to have an active warrant in Summit County and was arrested.

Deputies arrested a man for criminal trespassing in the Kimball Junction area.

Dispatch received a call about possible drug use in a vehicle traveling on State Road 248. Deputies performed a traffic stop and drug paraphernalia was located in the vehicle. The suspect was cited and released at the scene.

Tuesday, Feb. 10

Dispatch received reports of a physical argument at a residence in the North Snyderville Basin. Upon deputies’ arrival, a woman was issued a citation and released.

An unknown suspect stole a $100 gift card from a hotel in the South Snyderville Basin. The card was used in Salt Lake City and an investigation is ongoing.

Monday, Feb. 9

The Summit County Auditor discovered that an unknown suspect has been using a county employee’s gas card number and the Summit County employee’s pin number in several states. An investigation is ongoing.

A North Summit man was booked into the Summit County Jail for domestic violence assault in the presence of children.

A deputy stopped a vehicle for expired registration and suspicious activity in North Summit.
