The events included halfpipe (HP), slopestyle (SS), boardercross (BX), slalom (SL), giant slalom (GS), and a rail jam (RJ). Each event is broken up into age groups starting with a 7-and-under group followed by 8-9, 10-11, 12-13, etc., all the way up to 70 and older. Some of the bigger fields have 70 competitors in one age group. Riders can compete in any number of individual events or go for the overall title combining the core events of HP, SS, BX, SL, and GS. The Park City Snowboard Team athletes all rode well with a lot of personal bests including 43 top-20 finishes, 27 top-10 finishes, and 14 top-5 finishes with 8 podiums.
A few highlights included Max Raymer (Open Class) 8th (SS); Chandler Hunt (12-13) 5th (SS), 8th (HP) and 4th (RJ); Autumn Alden 4th (SS); Skyler Johnson (14-15) 3rd (HP); Kirby Baynes (8-9) 2nd (BX); Cambria Ordean (8-9) 2nd (HP), 3rd (GS), 5th (SS), 7th (SL) and 10th (BX); and bringing home some hardware was Hunter Goulet (7 & under) 1st (BX), 1st (GS), 2nd (HP), 2nd (SS), and 4th (SL). All the coaches are so proud of every rider and can't wait to get back out there again next winter and take it to the next level!
