Masters racing at PCMR

The 2013 USSA Masters race season opens this weekend, Jan. 11-13, with the first of the JANS Cup events held in the Intermountain West. Two super G races, a Saturday slalom and Sunday GS will be held on the PayDay run. The races are also a tribute to Gary Loritz and Brett Pendleton, two longtime local racers who are no longer with us. The Loritz Cup is traditional awarded Sunday at Adolph's restaurant, where the cup is on display, by Loritz's longtime friend, Adolph. The Pendleton Cup is awarded after the Saturday slalom by his wife Shauna at the awards party. Both go to the top male and female racers. Masters racing is open to all skiers 18 years and older. For information on how to sign up, contact Bill Skinner at (435) 647-2633 or sign up online at www.skiracereg.com
