A week after some of Hollywood's biggest stars filled Park City, skiing's biggest stars will hit the slopes at Deer Valley for an FIS Freestyle World Cup event.

The four-day event will kick off tonight with a concert on Lower Main Street at 7 p.m., followed by three straight days of competition.

First up will be moguls on Thursday, followed by an aerial competition on Friday and a dual mogul event on Saturday.

Bryon Wilson, 2010 Olympic mogul bronze medalist and current Park City resident, will be in attendance, trying to recapture some of the magic he experienced in Vancouver.

On the women's side, Olympic mogul qualifier Heather McPhie, who has lived in Park City for seven years, will be trying to earn a victory on a course she knows well.

"I love this course," she said. "It's one of my favorites."

She added that knowing what to expect from the course will help her throughout the week.

"We travel so much for competition, so we don't really train on this course much more (than other skiers)," she said. "It's definitely really helpful knowing that it's the longest course on the tour and the most taxing physically."

McPhie will be participating in the mogul and dual mogul competitions, both of which will hold their finals at night.

"I love skiing under the lights," she said. "Competing at night is great."

Skiing at her home course is also something McPhie is looking forward to. She said she can't wait to ski in front of her friends and family.

"So many of our families come out," she said. "I'm really excited. We get such an awesome fan base."

The mogul finals will take place on Thursday at 7 p.m., with dual mogul finals on Saturday night at 6:30 p.m.

Parkite Dylan Ferguson will lead a group of local aerialists into competition Friday. The aerial finals take place at 6:45 p.m.

All events are free to the public.
