Museum celebrates the military with Community Giving Day

The Park City Museum, 528 Main St., will host a Community Giving Day on Thursday, June 20 from 10 a.m. until 7 p.m. in support of the military troops who are currently deployed from the 19th Special Forces at Camp Williams.

The museum will offer free admission for those who donate an item for care packages that will be sent to these troops.
Suggested donations include canned items such as fruit, chicken, peanut butter, jelly, sardines and tuna or microwavable foods such as macaroni & cheese, popcorn and various mini dinners.
Snack foods such as chips, cookies, crackers, dried fruit, nuts, candy and dry cereal are also needed along with over-the-counter medicines, wet wipes, lip balm, dental floss, and contact solution.
Items that can’t be sent include pork products, alcohol, pornography, liquid hand sanitizer, aerosol cans and chocolate.
