Odyssey Dance will hold auditions

Odyssey Dance Theatre announces auditions for young dancers to participate in its performances of "ReduxNut-Cracker" that will run Dec. 19 to 21 at Kingsbury Hall in Salt Lake City.

The Company needs eight children, boys or girls, between the ages of 9 and 10, who can dance and tumble; nine boys and eight girls, between the ages of 10 and 12, who can do jazz and hip hop.

Auditions will take place Friday, Nov. 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at The Pointe Performing Arts Academy, 10981 N. 5600 West in Highland. For directions, visit http://www.thepointeacademy.com .

Call backs will take place on Saturday, Nov. 9, from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

Dancers should not audition unless they are available for all of the following rehearsals that will be held at Kingsbury Hall:

  • Nov. 15 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
  • Nov. 16 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
  • Nov. 23 from 3 p.m. until 8 p.m.
  • Dec. 6 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 7 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.
  • Dec. 13 from 6:30 p.m. until 9:30 p.m.
  • Dec. 14 from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m.

    Odyssey Dance Theatre, winner of Best of State in Dance for eight years in a row performs to critical acclaim and standing ovations at home and on tour, nationally and internationally, most notably coinciding with the Beijing Summer Olympics.
