Park City Snowboard Team Fundraiser

Book Discussion and film screening: ‘Prince Among Slaves’

The Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave., will hold a book discussion about Terry Alford’s "Prince Among Slaves" on Wednesday, Feb. 26, from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. It will also host a free screening of the documentary in the Library’s Jim Santy Auditorium on Thursday, Feb. 27, at 7 p.m. The book, published in 2007, is about Abd al Rahman Ibrahima, a Muslim slave who, in 1807, was recognized by an Irish ship’s surgeon as the son of an African king who had saved his life many years earlier.
