On Saturday Jan. 11, the Sundance Film Festival will hold its annual Best of Fest and Townie Tuesday ticket pick up at all box offices from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Park City’s box office is located at the Gateway, 136 Heber Ave. Best of Fest tickets will be distributed to Utah residents who are ages 18 and older that show a valid Utah ID. Townie Tuesday tickets will be given to Summit County residents ages 18 and older who show a valid ID. The free tickets will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The film titles will be announced later. Townie Tuesday screenings will be held Tuesday, Jan. 21, at the Redstone Cinemas and the Library Center Theater. The Best of Fest screenings will be Monday, Jan. 27. For more information, visit http://www.sundance.org.
Author Event at the Summit County Library
The Summit County Library Kimball Junction Branch, 1885 W. Ute Blvd. at Kimball Junction, will host author and motivational speaker Noah St. John on Monday, Jan. 13, at 5 p.m. St. John will discuss his interestingly titled book "The Book of Afformations." Woman’s Athenaeum Club at the Summit County Library
Woman’s Athenaeum Club will host a speaker at the Summit County Library Kimball Junction Branch, 1885 W. Ute Blvd at Kimball Junction, on Tuesday, Jan. 14, at 12:30 p.m. The public is invited to come and hear Katie Mullaly, public information officer for Summit County Health Department, discuss how human actions impact sustainability in areas including health, economy, family environment and community.
