Paddle Sports with the National Ability Center
The National Ability Center will host paddle sport sessions at Jordanelle State Park on Wednesday, June 10, from 8 a.m. until 9 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Individuals of all abilities and their families are invited to learn to kayak, canoe and stand-up paddle board Scholarships are available. Park City Film Series: ‘The Long Night’
The Park City Film series will end its 2014-15 season at the Prospector with a special free screening of Tim Matsui’s documentary, "The Long Night," not rated, on Thursday, June 11, at 7 p.m. "The Long Night," which is set in Seattle, is about the sex trafficking of underage women and follows three girls who get trapped in that life. A panel discussion will follow the screening. Panelists will include filmmaker Tim Matsui, and representatives of the Utah Attorney General’s Office, Park City Police Department, Summit County Sheriff’s Office, Summit County Attorney’s Office and Valley Behavioral Health. Utah Wing of Commemorative Air Force Swing Dance
The Utah Wing of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF) invites the public to its annual Swing Dance Party at the CAF Museum at the Russ McDonald Heber City Airport on Friday, June 12, from 7 p.m. until 10 p.m. The dance is part of the Warbirds over Heber City B-17 Sentimental Journey event that runs from June 8 to June 15. The dance is a fundraiser for the Utah Wing of the CAF Museum. Suggested donations are $15 for adults, $25 for couples, $3 for seniors citizens. Military veterans and children will be admitted for free.
