Deer Valley Music Festival

The Deer Valley Music Festival will begin with a bang when the Utah Symphony performs a night of Patriotic Music on Saturday, June 29, at 7:30 p.m. The program will feature "The Star-Spangled Banner," and continue with an Armed Forces tribute, the theme from "West Side Story" and, of course, end with Tchaikovsky’s "1812 Overture" with cannons provided by the Cannoneers of the Wasatch. Fox School of Wine Summer Saturdays

The Fox School of Wine, located at 880 Deer Valley Dr., East, lower Deer Valley, offers an educational wine class every Saturday through Aug. 31. Students taste six wines selected based on the topic for the weekend. Classes are designed to give both the beginner and the experienced wine lover a glimpse into little-known stories, facts and history that make the world of wine so interesting. Olympic Day at Utah Olympic Park

The Utah Olympic Park, 3419 Olympic Parkway at Kimball Junction, will host Olympic Day on Sunday, June 30. Activities include athlete appearances, a big air show, and the debut of a new exhibit at the Alf Engen Ski Museum featuring a collection of trophies, medals, photos, skis, and other memorabilia from members of the U.S. Women’s Ski Jumping Team.
