The Park City Film Series, Sundance Institute and the Utah Film Center will present a free screening of Lucy Walker’s "The Crash Reel," not rated, at the Jim Santy Auditorium at the Park City Library and Education Center, 1255 Park Ave., on Wednesday, March 13. The screening will begin at 7 p.m. The film is about U.S. champion snowboarder Kevin Pearce, who suffered a severe traumatic brain injury in a 2009 accident in Park City. His tight-knit Vermont family flew to his side, and together they began an intensive process of trying to rehabilitate him and help him rebuild his permanently damaged life. ‘The Pirates of Penzance’
The Uinta Center for the Arts presents Gilbert & Sullivan’s "The Pirates of the Penzance," at the Kamas Theatre, 30 N. Main St. in Kamas, through Saturday, March 16. Weeknight curtain is 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday evening performance will begin at 8 p.m. and the Saturday matinees begin at 3 p.m. There are no performances on Sunday. Introduction to Sushi Class
Sushi chef Yu Yamamoto from the Montage will host an Introduction to Sushi course on Thursday, March 14, at Temple Har Shalom, 3700 Brookside Ct. The class, which starts at 6 p.m., will offer an optional sake pairing for students older than 21. Stand-Up Utah at the Egyptian Theatre

The Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St., will present Stand-Up Utah, a night of comedy on Saturday, March 16, at 8 p.m. Six area comedians — Christian Pieper, Steve Soelberg, Guy Seidel, Jackson Banks, Key Lewis and Cody Eden — will perform. St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Dance
St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 1505 White Pine Canyon Rd., will host a St. Patrick’s Day dinner dance on Saturday, March 16, from 6:30 p.m. until 11:30 p.m. An opening reception from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. will feature a cash bar and cocktails, and dancing to a live band will begin at 7:30 p.m. Admission is $24. Drunken Hearts at Canyons
