Treasure Mountain Junior High School Band Jazz Concert

The Treasure Mountain Junior High School Band jazz concert will be held at the Eccles Center for the Performing Arts, 1750 Kearns Blvd., on Wednesday, May 20, from 6:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. The concert will be performed by the eighth and ninth grade jazz ensemblse. Admission is free.

Kamas Valley Writers Group

The Kamas Valley Writers Group will meet at the Summit County Library, Kimball Junction Branch, 110 N. Main St., on Thursday, May 21, from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. The group is open to writers ages 18 and older, who are encouraged to bring a piece of writing to work on. All genres are welcome. Park City Film Series: ‘What We Do in the Shadows’

The Park City Film Series will screen Jemaine Clement and Taika Waititi’s "What We Do in the Shadows," not rated, at the Prospector Theater, 2175 Sidewinder Dr., on Friday, May 22, through Sunday, May 24. Friday and Saturday’s screenings will begin at 8 p.m. Sunday’s screening will begin at 6 p.m. This mockumentary chronicles the adventures of four vampire roommates trying to get by in a modern world that’s not always hospitable to the undead. Wetland Bird Walk 2015

The Swaner EcoCenter, 1258 Center Dr. at Kimball Junction, will host the Wetland Bird Walk 2015 on Saturday, May 21, from 7:30 a.m. until 9 a.m. Dave Hanscom and Swaner will lead the walk through the Swaner preserve, including the spring-fed ponds. Participants will look for migrating shorebirds, nesting sandhill cranes and some of the other 100 species of birds seen on the Preserve. The walking route will be flat, but somewhat strenuous because the footing can be difficult and wet. Participants should come prepared with waterproof boots as the ground is wet all year long. Cars and Coffee

Hugo Coffee, 1794 Olympic Parkway at Kimball Junction, will host Cars and Coffee, on Sunday, May 24, from 9 a.m. until noon. The free event by the Park City Car Club is a way for car enthusiasts and the public to meet other Park City-area car lovers and enjoy a cup of coffee. All makes and models of cars are welcome.
