he Project for Deeper Understanding: Hard Choices at the End of Life

The Project for Deeper Understanding will host a discussion, "Hard Choices at the End of Life: How Are We to Decide?" at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 4595 North Silver Springs Dr., on Thursday, May 28, from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. This free public forum on death with dignity and related issues will feature six panelists, including religious thinkers, a philosopher and a palliative care physician.

TEDxParkCityWomen at St. Regis

The fourth annual TEDxParkCityWomen event will be held at St. Regis Deer Valley on Thursday, May 28, from 9 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Registration begins at 8:45 a.m. The event will feature livestream talks and performances by world-renowned speakers and artists from the TEDWomen Momentum conference in Monterey, California. David Lindley at The Egyptian Theatre

The Egyptian Theatre, 328 Main St., will welcome David Lindley on Friday, May 29, and Saturday, May 30, at 8 p.m. Multi-instrumentalist Lindley performs music that redefines the word eclectic. He is well known for his many years as the featured accompanist with Jackson Browne and leader of his own band El Rayo-X. Lindley has long championed the concept of world music. His electro-acoustic performance effortlessly combines American folk, blues and bluegrass traditions with elements from African, Arabic, Asian, Celtic, Malagasy and Turkish musical sources. Park City Wild Half

The Park City Wild Half races will be held at Jordanelle State Park’s Ross Creek Trailhead on Saturday, May 30. All races will begin at 9 a.m. Routes will consist of well-marked, single-track trails. Maps are available. Awards will be given to first-place male and female winners in every race division. This race will benefit the Wounded Warrior Project. Friends of the Park City Library Memberships

The Friends of the Park City Library memberships are available by contacting Suzelle McCullough at . Memberships will also be available at the Park City Library grand reopening on Saturday, June 13, at 1255 Park Ave. The cost is $15 per person or $25 for families. Memberships run from June 1, 2015 to May 31, 2016. Members will receive a newsletter subscription, and members are invited to the annual Used Book Sale preview before the sale is open to the public.
