Natalie Maines Will Perform at Deer Valley
Natalie Maines, lead singer of the Dixie Chicks, headlines a concert featuring her own brand of alternative rock at Deer Valley Resort’s Snow Park Amphitheatre on Tuesday, July 30. Maines is the final artist to join the St. Regis Big Stars, Bright Nights outdoor concert series. Tickets range from $40 to $85 and are available by visiting http://www.ecclescenter.org.
Park City Sailing Camps
The Park City Sailing Camp is a full-day camp with beginner classes for ages eight to 11 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and beginner/intermediate classes for ages 12 to 18 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. All classes are one-week sessions that run Monday through Friday. Park City Newcomers Club
Park City Newcomers Club will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 8, from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at the Park City Community Church, 4501 N. S.R. 224. South Summit High School Debate Team Fundraiser
The South Summit High School debate team will hold a fundraiser on Saturday, May 11, at the Oakley Town Hall, 960 N. Center St., from 9 a.m. until noon. The event will include a pancake breakfast and silent auction, with a Mother’s Day theme. The cost for the all-you-can-eat breakfast is $7 for adults and $5 for students. Children ages 5 and younger are free. The money raised will help three students who qualified for the national tournament get to the competition in Birmingham, Ala. ‘Listening to Your Inner Voice’ with Sharon Starika
Movement Educator, Sharon Starika will be host a dinner workshop for women called "Listening to Your Inner Voice," on Wednesday, May 15, at Ruth’s Chris Steak House, 2001 Park Ave., on Wednesday, May 15. Space is limited to 35 women. The cost is $24, and the restaurant will provide appetizers and a steak dinner Salad. Funeral services for volunteer soccer referee Ricardo Portillo
"Current and former soccer athletes, parents and coaches: To honor the life and contribution of volunteer soccer referee Ricardo Portillo, please join us in showing respect to his family at the funeral services tomorrow, Wednesday, May 8. Please do not take a seat at the service, or a parking space intended for family and friends of the Portillo family. Carpool, arrive an hour early if possible, park off-site, and WEAR A SOCCER JERSEY or shirt representing any team. We will stand peacefully and silently outside the church and along the route to the church to show our respect. Services are at 5:00 p.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 715 W. 300 North, Salt Lake City. Please arrive by 4:00.
