The Park City Dance Club will continue with its Wednesday sessions at Park City Dance Academy, 6558 Creekside Ln., on Oct. 15, from 8:15 p.m. until 9:15 p.m. The club is the Summit County arm of BallroomUtah in Salt Lake City. Beginners are welcome. These two four-week sessions will concentrate on what is known as the rhythm dances, or Latin dances. For more information, call 801-792-3082.

Powell and Wright: a Public Conversation

St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, 4595 N. Silver Springs Dr. in Snyderville, will host a Project for Deeper Understanding conversation on Thursday, Oct. 16, with Rep. Kraig Powell (Republican) and Glenn Wright (Democrat), who are running for Utah’s 54 House District. All citizens are invited to attend a public discussion between the two candidates where they can ask questions. The discussion will run from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. and is free and open to the public. Town and Country Reptiles: How Animals Adapt to a Changing Environment

The Swaner EcoCenter, 1258 Center Dr. at Kimball Junction, will host Susannah French, assistant professor of biology at Utah State University, as she disucces the impact of humans on native wildlife populations. French conducts studies of reptiles in Utah as well as the Galapagos Islands to better understand how animals interact with their environments. Participants will learn more about how proximity affects the wildlife with which we interact. The cost of admission is $5 or free to EcoCenter members. National Ability Center Winter Gear Sale

The National Ability Center, 1000 Ability Way at Quinn’s Junction, will hold its annual winter gear sale on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. The event will feature a great selection of used skis, snowboards, boots, poles and more, with most items priced under $100. Proceeds will benefit the National Ability Center. There will be no adaptive equipment available at the sale. Admission is free. For more information, visit http://www.discoverNAC.org .

RAMP Sports Second Annual Bamboozle RAMP Sports will host the second annual Bamboozle Party at its factory offices, 6407 Business Park Loop Rd., on Saturday, Oct. 18, from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Admission is free. The evening will feature live music by Holy Water Buffalo and Talia Keys from Marinade and a silent auction. Proceeds from the auction will benefit local artists and the Summit Land Conservancy.
