Wild Heart Sanctuary Fundraiser
Wild Heart Sanctuary, an advocacy and seven-acre refuge for wild mustangs, will host a fundraiser on Saturday, Sept. 17 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Jabu, an internationally acclaimed artist, will create stunning paintings inspired by the mustangs during the event. There will also be food, beverages, live music, silent and live auctions and photos with the mustangs by an award-winning photographer. Autumn Aloft Balloon Festival
The Autumn Aloft Balloon Festival will be held in Park City through Sunday, Sept. 18. The Saturday and Sunday launches will be at the North 40 Fields at 8 p.m., with field access at 7:45 a.m. Saturday evening will feature a candlestick on Main Street from 8 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. All events are free. Park Silly Market Ends This Year’s Season
The Park Silly Sunday Market will wrap up its 10th anniversary season on Sunday, Sept. 18 The ecofriendly, open-air artist and farmers market, street festival and community forum will open on historic Main Street at 10 a.m. Each week the market hosts more than 180 vendors, a Bloody Mary bar, live music, roving entertainers and fun activities for kids. Guided Historic Hike at Deer Valley
Deer Valley Resort will host a free, guided historic hike on Sunday, Sept. 18. The hike starts promptly at 9:30 a.m. at the Silver Lake Village Sterling Express Chairlift. The hike will last approximately three to four hours and cover moderately strenuous terrain. Hikers should wear sturdy shoes and bring sunscreen, snacks and water. No dogs will be allowed. Mountain Town Community Solar Workshop
The final Mountain Town Community Solar Workshop will be held at the Park City Library, 1255 Park Ave., on Tuesday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. Participants will hear from Utah Clean Energy and Summit Community Power Works representatives about how the program works. Also, Alpenglow Solar will present a detailed overview of what to expect when installing solar. Presentations will be followed by Q&A.
